Set up TiviMate for IPTV

TiviMate is the player most people settle on for Android TV and Fire Stick, and for one big reason on event nights: its guide is the cleanest around and — on Premium — it can show several streams at once. Setup is a few minutes: install it, add your subscription with an Xtream Codes login or an M3U link, let the guide download, done. Note it's Android-only — no iOS or Apple TV. Here's the run-through, plus the settings that make it shine.
Install and sign in
- On Android TV or Fire Stick, open the Play Store (or Amazon Appstore) and install TiviMate.
- Launch it and choose Add playlist.
- Select Xtream Codes — the tidier option — or M3U playlist.
- For Xtream Codes, type the server URL, username and password; for M3U, paste the full link we sent.
- Name the playlist and let TiviMate pull down the channels and the EPG (give the guide a minute on first load).
Settings worth changing
- Guide: TiviMate takes the EPG from your subscription automatically — leave it a moment the first time.
- Buffer: the odd stutter? nudge the buffer up under Settings → Playback.
- Favourites: long-press to star a channel; group the sport and your home channels so the card is one click away on the night.
- Decoder: the default plays almost everything; switch to the alternate decoder if one channel refuses.
The Premium feature for a stacked card When two events overlap, TiviMate Premium's multi-view puts them side by side on one screen — prelims in one tile, the main card in another — then full-screens whichever heats up. If your event nights often clash, it pays for itself.
Free vs Premium
The free tier is plenty to watch. Premium adds recording, multiple playlists, scheduled recordings and multi-view. Both work with our subscription — Premium is bought from TiviMate, not from us.
If it won't cooperate
- Login refused: re-check the server URL and credentials — they're case-sensitive.
- Guide blank: let the EPG finish, then restart TiviMate once.
- Stutter at peak: wire the device and raise the buffer — see the buffering guide.

Does TiviMate run on Apple TV or iPhone?
No — it's Android-only (Android TV, Fire Stick, Android boxes). On Apple hardware use a tvOS/iOS player instead; our Apple TV guide covers the best options.
Is the free version enough?
To watch, yes. Premium is what unlocks recording, multiple playlists and the multi-view that's gold on a night when two cards overlap. It's a TiviMate purchase, separate from your subscription.
Can I really watch two streams at once?
On TiviMate Premium, yes — multi-view tiles several feeds on one screen, so you keep an eye on the prelims while another bout finishes, then jump to full screen for the walkout.
