Install IPTV on Apple TV (tvOS)

Apple TV can't side-load apps like a Fire Stick, so IPTV here means installing a player from the App Store — then signing in with your Xtream Codes login or an M3U link. What you need
- An Apple TV HD or Apple TV 4K (tvOS 15 or newer recommended).
- A steady line — about 10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K.
- Your login: an Xtream Codes set (server, username, password) or an M3U link.

Steps
- From the home screen, open the App Store.
- Search for one of the players below and install it — they're free to start.
- Open it and choose to add a playlist or log in: most offer Xtream Codes / Login or M3U URL.
- For Xtream Codes, enter the server URL, username and password exactly as sent.
- For an M3U link, paste the full URL — better still, use the app's phone-entry or QR option instead of the remote.
- Let the channel list and EPG download (a minute on first load), open a channel to confirm, then set favourites.

No Ethernet port? Plan for the walkout The base Apple TV 4K (2022) is Wi-Fi only, which is fine on a strong 5 GHz signal — but if evenings buffer, either move the router closer or use the Ethernet-equipped model. A wired link is still the single best cure for stutter; more in the buffering guide.

If something's off
- "Invalid login" / no channels — re-check the URL, username and password (case-sensitive); paste from your phone rather than typing.
- Channels load but won't play — usually the connection; test speed on the same network, prefer Ethernet where the model has it.
- No guide (EPG) — give it a few minutes, then restart the app; some have an EPG-refresh in settings.
- App missing from the store — store availability is regional; we'll recommend one available where you are.

My region's store doesn't list the player I read about — now what?

Which Apple TVs are a dead end?
