Set up IPTV on Enigma2 (Vu+, Zgemma, Dreambox)

Enigma2 receivers — Vu+, Zgemma, Dreambox, GigaBlue and their Linux cousins — take a different path to IPTV: there's no app to install. Instead you convert your subscription into a bouquet, so the channels slot into your normal list right beside satellite or cable, with a full EPG. The painless way is a free Windows tool, IPTV Bouquet Maker; there's also an on-box plugin. Both are below.

It helps to picture what a "bouquet" actually is before you build one: on Enigma2, every group of channels — your satellite favourites, a cable package — is a bouquet, a saved list the box reads at startup. All you're doing here is generating one more bouquet from your IPTV subscription and dropping it in with the rest, which is why the channels end up in the ordinary list with a proper guide rather than walled off in a separate app.
Before you start
Three things get you there: the box and your PC on the same network (wire the box if you can); the box's IP address, which is under Menu → Information → Network; and your subscription in hand as an Xtream Codes login or M3U URL, which we send you. With those ready, either route below takes about five minutes.
Route 1 — IPTV Bouquet Maker (easiest)
- On a Windows PC, download and open the free IPTV Bouquet Maker.
- Enter the box's IP address (and the root login if prompted — on most images that's user
root, no password). - Drop in your Xtream Codes details or M3U URL, then tick the channel groups you actually want.
- Hit Upload / Send to box — the tool builds the bouquets and pushes them over the network.
- On the receiver, open the channel list and your IPTV bouquets are sitting there.
Route 2 — the E2m3u2bouquet plugin
Prefer to keep it on the box? Install the E2m3u2bouquet plugin from your image's feed (or via IPK). It turns your M3U/Xtream login into bouquets directly on the receiver and can auto-refresh them — more technical, so most people stick with the PC tool above.
Cable it, and switch on EPG import A wired Enigma2 box sails through a busy card where a Wi-Fi dongle chokes. And enable the bouquet tool's EPG option so the guide fills in — that's what powers the "what's on when" you'll want before an event.
If something's off
- Can't reach the box — recheck the IP and that both devices share the network.
- No channels after upload — restart the GUI (Menu → Standby/Restart → Restart GUI) and reopen the list.
- No guide — run the EPG import again and let it finish before browsing.
Frequently asked questions
Is my box an Enigma2 box?
If it's a Vu+, Zgemma, Dreambox or GigaBlue running an image like OpenATV or OpenPLi, yes — it's Enigma2 and this applies. The giveaway is the Linux-style menu and the "bouquets" concept rather than an app store.
Why is there no IPTV app to install?
Enigma2 doesn't work in apps the way Android does. Instead you convert your playlist into a bouquet — the same container satellite and cable channels live in — so your IPTV lands in the normal channel list, EPG included, next to everything else.
Does the image matter?
No — OpenATV, OpenPLi, OpenBH and the rest all take the bouquet method identically. All you need is the box and your PC on the same network.
